Italian Lucania filmfest to host ‘The 4th Round’

Iranian feature ‘The 4th Round’ has been scheduled to take part in the Lucania Film Festival (LFF) in Italy.

The 23rd round of the event will give room to ‘The 4th Round’, directed by Alireza Amini, to compete at its International Selection-Feature/Documentary section.

A brief synopsis for the flick reads, “Mohammad is working and living in a room in the biggest football stadium in Tehran with his wife and little son. During a riot in Tehran, he disappears while his wife is looking forward to seeing him impatiently”.

Pejman Bazeghi, Mohsen Tanabandeh, Hamed Behdad, Elaheh Hesari, Anahita Dargahi, Ali Owji, and Bahram Afshari star in the movie.

The film has already been shown at a number of global events, including the Russian within the Family Film Festival and the FECSC - Santa Cruz International Film Festival in Argentina.

The Lucania Film Festival presents the best works of the independent cinema and wants to recognize new film talents.

The sections of the festival include Fiction and Animation, Audio Live Drama, Lucania Filmmakers, 48 teeth Corticomici (comedy), War News (film, reportage, photography and documentary), and Documentary Films.

This year’s edition of the fest is slated for August 9-13.
